On Friday 11th October, I attended the Best Business Women Awards, having been proudly nominated for the Best Business Woman in STEM award.
The business world is full of passionate and hard-working female entrepreneurs who juggle their businesses with many other priorities too, such as friends, families, and voluntary work. This award is dedicated to women who pay particular attention to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths.
Below were my fellow category nominees, please check out their businesses too!
Best Business Woman in STEM
WINNER Sally Higham – Groop
FINALISTS
Cheryl Laidlaw- London Web Girl
Susan Barrett- Rabbit Training Ltd
Tamma Carel- Imvelo Ltd
Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards said ‘This is the 5th year of these prestigious awards. We were delighted with the number of entries this year, which came in from all over the UK. This is a tough competition judged by business experts. To be a finalist is a major achievement. Finalists have been selected for their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity. Well over 80% of start-ups fail in the first 3 years and all our finalists are all shining examples of being successful entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges.’
Though I didn’t pick up the prize this year, I will work harder to have an even better shot next time!
