ISO 14001:2015: Leadership & Commitment Workshop
About this training module:
This upgrade to ISO14001:2015 introduces additional requirements for the leadership on sustainable business operations. Our workshops are best delivered in-house, for a minimum of five people.
Who is ISO 14001 training for?
This ISO 14001 course will provide your senior management team with ideas for environmental improvements and information on programmes that can provide improved skills for your workforce.
It will also specifically assist your business in meeting the following ISO14001 standard requirements:
– Clause 4.1 – ‘Understanding the organisation and its context.’
– Clause 5.1 – ‘Leadership and commitment.’
As part of ISO14001:2015, organisations should determine the external and internal issues that correlate with the purpose of the business and which affect the business from running effectively. We do this via the UN Sustainability Goals, giving your business further understanding of the issues and incentive for change. You will be taken through a SWOT analysis of the SDGs, so that you can see what you do well, what needs work, what is a threat, and what is an opportunity.
On successful completion, delegates will be able to:
- Understanding the changes to ISO 14001:2015 and their intent.
- Identifying and planning actions to enable an organisation to conform to and realise the benefits of the new requirements.
- Assisted SDG based PESTLE Analysis to understand the context of the organisation and to identify future objectives and targets.
- Identifying opportunities within the Sustainable Development Goals to make greater contributions through aligned activities and efforts.
Course Duration
- Half Day
Tamma explained the SDGs in a very informative and interesting way, without overwhelming us with information. I learnt a lot about the specifics of individual SDGs which I wasn’t previously aware of. I enjoyed learning about the risks and opportunities of sustainability, and this is something that I am going to bring forward to future work. It was very enjoyable throughout and highly engaging.
